This was the first expansion to the D&D miniatures game. It was released on December 19, 2003.

An expansion pack contains 1 Rare, 3 Uncommon and 4 common figures, as well as a checklist and errata for Harbinger.

There are 60 miniatures in the Dragoneye expansion: 20 rares, 24 uncommons and 16 commons.

Ready yourself for a random encounter dominated by dragons and dragonkind, along with a horde of other heroes, villains, and monsters. Taken straight from D&D rulebooks, such as the Draconomicon, Complete Warrior, Miniatures Handbook, and the Dragonlance Campaign Setting, these characters are ready for battle -- right out of the box.

Each randomized Dragoneye expansion pack contains 8 randomly selected, prepainted, fully assembled, collectible miniatures with double-sided statistic cards for use with D&D roleplaying game or for fast-paced head-to-head combat.

Dragoneye Errata:

It appears the description of the Death Burst and Sidestep abilities have been inadvertently left off the rules-sheet included in the expansion packs. Here's the correct text of those abilities:

Death Burst (ENERGY [#]; DC [#]): When a creature with this special ability is destroyed by damage, all adjacent creatures take the given amount of the indicated type of damage. A successful save reduces the damage to half.

Sidestep: If this creature moves only 1 square, it does not draw attacks of opportunity and can make a full attack.

The Description of the Entangle ability has changed in the MHb. This affects the Large Monstrous Spider; here's the correct text:

Entangle/Entangled: (Spell/Ability Effect) A creature subject to this effect is unable to move if it does not make a successful save against the effect's indicated DC. At the end of an entangled creature's turn, it makes another save (same DC). If this save succeeds, the entangle effect is removed and the creature can act normally on its next turn.

Entangle effects sometimes produce an area of difficult terrain. Even if a creature succeeds on its save, if it is in that area, it must still pay the normal costs for movement through difficult terrain.

These figure's stat cards also need emendation:

Designers' Notes

Mike Donais

Every [Dragoneye] booster contains a set checklist. We are using the back of the checklist for rules or information. The checklist is only half a page but we used this real estate to list the few things that we corrected when we printed the Miniatures handbook. For Dragoneye these are things that are in the FAQ or Errata already, and this lets our off-line players get the information.

Now that there has been a decision, we want to let people know that a rare mini from Dragoneye, the Black Dragon (44/60), is going to appear in a future non-random D&D product. More information will appear closer to that product's release. In the unlikely event of a change in plan, we'll let you know right away.
