Spoilers
Long anticipated by fans, War of the Dragon Queen is the second D&D miniatures set to feature Huge figures from the D&D realm. These figures tower over other miniatures in the set and are accurate representaions of the larger side of the D&D creature lineup. The figures in the set were chosen from a variety of D&D roleplaying titles, including several volumes of the Monster Manual, Heroes of Battle, and the Eberron and Forgotten Realms campaign settings. The set also includes an elite selection of characters that are accompanied by a second, epic-level stat card, allowing players to assemble higher-value armies with which to battle.
Components:Set List (Spoilers)
- Eight (8) randomized miniatures, including one (1) huge figure
- Stat cards for each figure, including epic cards for select figures

- War of the Dragon Queen will be the second set that includes Huge figures.
- This set has a different distribution scheme than Giants of Legend. GOL had 12 Huges and 60 regular figures for 72 in all, with 9 figures per boosters and a split rarity scheme for huges. The scheme for War of the Dragon Queen only has 48 regular figures.
- There are 12 Huge figures: 6 rare and 6 uncommon. The ratio is 1 rare : 2 uncommons, so a case of 6 boosters will contain 2 rares and 4 uncommons.
- There are 48 Normal figures: 18 rare, 16 uncommon and 14 common.
- A booster contains 1 huge figure (either uncommon or rare), 1 normal rare, 2 normal uncommons and 4 normal commons.
- The catalogue entry notes: Case Pack 6/5 lbs. Does this mean 6 boosters per case and 5 lbs per case?

- "The designers were worried that opening 2 packs of WotDQ wouldn't provide enough product to build a good epic 500 point band as that is the sealed format they will be using. To make up for this, the promo being handed out to everyone is the Huge Fiendish Spider that will be playable in your sealed pull. This will give everyone 3 huges to select from. So make sure you come out to one. A Huge spider is going to be way cool." - bshugg on Winter Fantasy experiences.
- "In a conversation with Shoe and some others, he was discussing how he didn't see the need/want for the PHB iconics because no one cares. He said that he felt iconics should either be something with strong roots in D&D history like Warduke or Obould, and he did make mention of the Dragonlance characters (this was topic was talked about in the chat I saw as well). Lord of Blades was of course mentioned as the same type. The other type of iconic he mentioned was stuff like Snig (he stated they had to make him unique as a non unique 20pt commander with minions would end up banned otherwise) and Shuluth that are either created or have just a small amount of history (Shuluth comes from Weapons of Legacy)"- AesophDarkFable on Winter Fantasy experiences
- War of the Dragon Queen had a very troubled preview season, with almost all the pictures of its figures being posted - probably by someone with links at the manufacturing plant - over two months before its release. Then, the promotional poster came out two weeks before it was due (this happened mostly because marketing were trying to avoid the late release of the poster as with other sets, and the printer was more efficient this time). Then, all the stat spoilers leaked a fortnight out from the prerelease...
